FreshServiceのアウターといえばPERTEX®を思い浮かべる方も多いほど、ブランドを象徴する定番素材。PERTEX®は、もともと登山や山岳活動といった過酷な環境下で快適性を追求するために開発された高機能ファブリックで、軽量性・防風性・通気性を高いレベルで兼ね備えていることが最大の特徴です。

店頭でも初めて手に取られたお客様からは、「とにかく軽い」「肌触りが気持ちいい」「これなら毎日着たくなる」といったお声をいただくことが多く、素材そのものの完成度の高さを実感しています。

表地にはPERTEX® QUANTUMを採用し、驚くほど軽やかな着心地を実現。さらに中綿にはPRIMALOFT®を搭載することで、軽さを損なうことなく優れた保温性を確保しています。ダウンのような暖かさを持ちながら、自宅でのお手入れもしやすく、日常使いに適した高機能中綿です。

本作最大の特徴は、袖を取り外してベストとしても着用できる2WAY仕様であること。朝晩で気温差の大きい季節や、室内外を行き来するシーンでも柔軟に対応でき、一着で幅広い着こなしを楽しめます。

首元はノーカラーデザインを採用しているため、パーカーのフードを覗かせたり、ハイネックやモックネック、シャツなどとのレイヤードも自在。アウターでありながら、スタイリングの幅を大きく広げてくれる一着です。

シルエットは、ゆったりとしたリラックスフィットをベースに、身幅を見直し、着丈をやや短めにアップデート。今シーズンからはSサイズも加わり、これまで以上に幅広い体型の方へ提案できるサイズバランスになりました。裾にはドローコードを備え、その日のスタイリングやパンツに合わせてシルエットの変化も楽しめます。

個人的には、このモデルはPERTEX®シリーズの中でも「一番遊び心があるモデル」だと感じています。袖を外すだけで印象が大きく変わるため、一着で何通りもの着こなしが楽しめます。それでいてデザインが主張しすぎないため、気付けば自然と手に取ってしまう。そんなFreshServiceらしい"ちょうど良さ"が詰まっています。


展示会でも印象的だったのは、「機能を増やすためのギミック」ではなく、日々の暮らしの中で自然に使える機能としてデザインされていることでした。気温の変化やスタイリングに合わせて自由に楽しめる、この柔軟さこそがFreshServiceの魅力だと思います。

A collarless jacket with snap buttons, crafted from PERTEX® QUANTUM mini ripstop fabric. The PERTEX® series is one of FreshService’s signature outerwear lines and enjoys strong support from many customers. Among the collection, this piece embodies the essence of FreshService by achieving a high-level balance of lightness, warmth, and versatility.

PERTEX® is such an iconic, staple material for the brand that many people immediately think of it when they hear “FreshService outerwear.” Originally developed to ensure comfort in harsh environments such as mountaineering and other mountain activities, PERTEX® is a high-performance fabric whose defining characteristics are its exceptional combination of lightness, wind resistance, and breathability.

We often hear comments from customers trying it on for the first time in our stores—such as “It’s incredibly light,” “It feels great against the skin,” and “I’d want to wear this every day”—which reaffirms the exceptional quality of the material itself.

We’ve used PERTEX® QUANTUM for the outer shell to achieve a surprisingly light and airy feel. Furthermore, by incorporating PRIMALOFT® as the insulation, we’ve ensured excellent warmth without compromising on lightness. This high-performance insulation offers warmth comparable to down while being easy to care for at home, making it ideal for everyday use.

The standout feature of this piece is its 2-way design, which allows you to remove the sleeves and wear it as a vest. It adapts flexibly to seasons with significant temperature fluctuations between morning and evening, as well as situations where you’re moving between indoors and outdoors, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of styling options with just one garment.

The collarless design allows you to easily peek out from under a hoodie or layer it freely with high-neck, mock-neck, or button-down shirts. Although it’s an outerwear piece, it significantly expands your styling options.

The silhouette is based on a loose, relaxed fit, but we’ve revised the body width and updated the length to be slightly shorter. With the addition of size S this season, the size range now accommodates an even wider variety of body types than before. The hem features a drawcord, allowing you to adjust the silhouette to match your outfit or pants for the day.

Personally, I feel this model is “the most playful” in the PERTEX® series. Simply removing the sleeves drastically changes the look, allowing you to enjoy countless styling options with just one jacket. Yet, the design isn’t overly flashy, so you’ll find yourself reaching for it naturally. It’s packed with that “just-right” balance that’s so characteristic of FreshService.


What stood out to me at the trade show was that it wasn’t designed with “gimmicks to add features,” but rather with functionality that integrates naturally into everyday life. I believe this flexibility—the ability to adapt freely to temperature changes and your styling—is the true appeal of FreshService.

It seamlessly integrates functionality honed in the outdoors into urban life. Packed with the philosophy that defines FreshService, this new-standard 2-way jacket is one you’ll want to cherish for years to come.
