Touareg Silver/トゥアレグシルバーは北アフリカに住むベルベル人系の遊牧民トゥアレグ族によって作られた伝統的に身に纏っていたシルバーアクセサリーです。トゥアレグ族はサハラ砂漠の遊牧民で、元来サハラ砂漠をラクダで遊牧していた先住民、別名青の民という男性が青い衣装に身を包んでいます。 作品にはアーティスト名などの刻印などは無く、各家庭に代々受け継がれているテキスタイルのデザインが刻まれています。トゥアレグ族が長年にわたって身に付けてきたこのシルバーアクセサリーは、希少性価値が高く日本国内では流通が少ないため滅多に見かける事がなく他人と被りにくいという点も魅力です。

Touareg Silver refers to traditional silver jewelry crafted and worn by the Tuareg people, a Berber-descended nomadic tribe living in North Africa. The Tuareg are nomads of the Sahara Desert; they are indigenous people who originally roamed the Sahara on camels. Known as the “Blue People,” the men are distinguished by their blue attire. The pieces bear no engravings such as the artist’s name; instead, they feature textile designs that have been passed down through generations within each family.
